My 2014 Cebu CES Trip
It's been a year now after that memorable CES Conference in Tagaytay and recently all roads led to the Queen City of the South-Cebu!
The CES'website's tagline "Magkita ta didto bai"all the more drumbeat an exciting conference of the Career Executive Service Board and National Union of CESOS and Eligibles (NUCESO)! All third level appointees and eligibles meet in this annual government inter-agency gathering of #CESOs and #CES eligibles.
The event was preceded by a gathering of #CESOs and #CES eligbles in the Department of Education under the auspices of Philippines Educators Association of Career Executives and Eligibles (PEACE), headed by Assistant Secretary Tonisito MC Umali, Esq. who was eventually reelected in the ensuing election of officiers.
The theme for this year's #Annual CES Conference is "Leadership Excellence in the Digital Era:From Nation-Building to Global Governance" highlights the need for CESOs and CES eligibles to always observe the high standard of public service and taking advantage of the media technology for a participative, consensual and effective governance.
The conference venue was in Waterfront Hotel and Casino in uptown Cebu: a fitting venue for A1 leaders almost all agencies in the government.
The opening program on November 12 gave recognition to Gawad CES awardees, a presidential award given to CESOs and CES eligibles who showed superior leadership and innovativeness in their fields of expertise. It also remembered those who have gone to their Maker. The recently retired CESOs and CESES were also given recognition.
The CESB also swore in the new eligibles and those who were given ranks, whether newly-appointed or newly-adjusted.
