Survive On What You Have

This morning I watched On The Money over ANC featuring the owner of Lamoiyan Corporation , toothpaste manufacturer. Mr Cecilio Pedro recounted how he started from the scratch. He also glorified his parents for having taught him how to budget his money. His belief in God is overarching in all his talks about having money to do things he want to do but also to regard it as just a tool, and not and end in itself.

I cannot but agree with him. His belief that all things that we have is of God cannot be disputed. After all, who makes things grow and who makes our planet revolve around its axis and around the sun?

Mr Pedro's ability to budget his money and being able to succeed later is an example of how hard work can be the foundation of lifetime success.

Surviving. What a complex word to discuss. Halimbawa nalunod yung barkong sinakyan mo at wala lang dalang kahit isang supot man lang ng bigas. Paano ka magsurvive sa islang walang katao-tao? Merong mga niyog doon at iba pang mga halamang nakakain naman. Anong gagawin mo?

First you have to learn how to eat foods you do not usually eat gaya ng niyog o di kaya'y mga wild na prutas. Dapat marunong kang makibagay sa iyong paligid. Stranded ka sa isang isla kaya h'wag ka nang umasa na may darating na Jollibee delivery. Wala ka rin namang pera.

Matuto kang gumawa ng masilongan mo para hindi ka ma expose to the elements. In that way you will be able to live while waiting for the rescuers. At kung wala mang darating na rescuers, at least mabubuhay ka na nang matiwasay sa islang iyong kinasasadlakan.

In short,
learn to live on what is available and later on you can eat or have what you want when you will have saved for it.
