TURN-OVER CEREMONY OF BOOKS FROM CHILDREN INTERNATIONAL

A truckload of books, specifically 26, 000 volumes of used books from Children International based in Kansas, Missouri, United States of America is being turned over from Children International Philippines in Quezon City to DepED, Division of Gingoog City. Children International is represented by Mr.Domingo Buenaflor. I n attendance are the DepED officials headed by SDS Domingo V. Samson, CESO V, the school heads of the 85 schools in the Division of Gingoog City.

This book donation came from the intiative of Dr. Nancy H. Abao, the OIC-ASDS when she was still in the Division of Malaybalay City. Sensing that she will eventually be transferred to Gingoog City, she wrote an anticipatory letter to Children International in Missourri, USA, signing in as the Assistant Superintendent of Gingoog City division. It's a year ago and the fulfillment of that forward planning is now manifest in this turn-over ceremony.

This books will augment the meager supplemental reading materials that the schools in Gingoog City have.
